If there is one beauty product most leaving its mark at the moment- its lipstick. Developed as early as 3100 BC by the Mesopotamian people that would crush semi precious jewels to adorn their lips, lipstick has come a long way. In all different hues, lipstick is now an identifiable accessory that can relate to not only your outfit, but also your attitude. With so much choice on the market, we’re encouraged to have a play and it seems that there is no shade too extreme.

EMMANUELLE ALT...
In February 2011, Emmanuelle Alt became the Editor in Chief of French Vogue after performing the role of Fashion Editor for the past decade. The April issue is the first to be released under her direction. Alt’s personal aesthetic is quintessentially sleek while mastering the art of French effortlessness. Most famous for her make-up free face, skinny jeans, tailored blazers, and envy-worthy collection of leather jackets and towering stilettos; Alt’s distinct personal style is instantly recognisable and widely appreciated.

When it comes to adorning our heads, one cannot deny that the daring headpiece is a much more striking and conducive to creative expression form of head decor. Where I don’t advocate the murder of the entire animal kingdom just so we can all be super-stylin’ in our headpieces, fur on the head is especially the object of my lust.

SHOESIES...
I long ago resigned myself to the fact that I will probably have to one day resort to living in a house/tent made from shoes. To be honest however, this notion does not seem entirely bad. Any lady needs at least a pair of pumps, stilettos, wedges, platforms, open-toed, closed-toed, peep-toed, ankle boots, espadrilles, mary-janes, mules, sling-backs, gladiator heels, sandals and t-straps, and its still more than likely that her shoe appetite wont be entirely satisfied.
